In this project, we conducted a detailed analysis using aerial photogrammetry for the volumetric calculation of sawdust and wood stockpiles in industrial facilities. By utilizing drones equipped with high-precision sensors, we generated high-resolution orthomosaics and digital surface models (DSM) that allowed us to accurately measure the volumes of stored material.

Thanks to this methodology, we managed to optimize inventory management and reduce the margin of error in volumetric estimates, providing our clients with precise and up-to-date data for logistical and operational planning. This enabled improved stock control, optimized material distribution in stockpiles, and more efficient forecasting of storage needs.

Additionally, the generated models facilitated the identification of potential areas for improvement in stockpile arrangements, contributing to better space organization and safety in material handling.

With our methodology, we provide a precise and efficient solution for stockpile monitoring and control, ensuring greater reliability in volumetric calculations, reduced operational costs, and optimized resource management.
