On September 25, 2025, Plataforma Tierra (Grupo Cajamar) announced the incorporation of 23 new technology companies into its acceleration programs specialized in the agri-food sector. Among them are startups offering outstanding solutions for efficient water use, precision agriculture, food production, and disruptive technologies.

In this call, BENIU was selected to join Cajamar’s innovation ecosystem, a recognition that reaffirms the potential of our proposals in the fields of biocontrol, drone-based services, and agricultural efficiency.

What is Cajamar INNOVA and what does this program offer?

Cajamar INNOVA is the incubator and innovation hub linked to Grupo Cajamar, specialized in the agri-food sector. In this edition, the program focuses on three strategic areas:

  • Efficient water management

  • Precision agriculture and robotics (agrotech)

  • Food technology (foodtech) — the latter being a new addition in this call.

What this selection means for BENIU

For us, being chosen among more than 200 applications is a milestone that confirms the relevance of BENIU’s value proposition — drones, biocontrol, and automation — to address the current challenges of the agroforestry sector.

What we expect to gain:

  • Access to specialized resources and knowledge: technical training, access to experts and mentors, innovation methodologies.

  • Field pilots: testing our solutions in real environments under expert supervision.

  • Collaborative network: connecting with other startups, research centers, and companies in the sector to create synergies.

  • Visibility and reputation: being part of a recognized ecosystem like Cajamar INNOVA raises BENIU’s profile with clients, investors, and partners.

This aligns perfectly with our roadmap: consolidating the aerial biocontrol system, expanding operational capacity, and positioning ourselves as a benchmark in drone-based agricultural and forestry services.

A broader outlook: innovation driving the sector

The 23 selected companies come from very diverse fields: precision agriculture, robotics, nanotechnology, circular economy, alternative proteins, water treatment and reuse, and post-harvest solutions.

The projects were distributed as follows: 5 in water, 8 in agrotech, and 10 in foodtech.

This initiative reinforces Cajamar INNOVA’s role as a key driver to “move towards a more competitive, efficient, and sustainable offering, capable of meeting major economic, social, and environmental challenges.”

For BENIU, this is the ideal environment to accelerate our growth and validate that drone technology has a real role within the digital transformation of agriculture.

Looking ahead

This achievement is not the end, but a starting point.

We commit to:

  • Making the most of the program’s opportunities to improve our solutions.

  • Delivering tangible results that demonstrate the effectiveness of aerial biocontrol and smart agriculture tools.

  • Generating synergies with other projects and ecosystem stakeholders.

  • Sharing learnings and progress with clients, collaborators, and the wider agroforestry community.

We are grateful to Cajamar, Plataforma Tierra, and all program partners for placing their trust in BENIU. A new chapter begins! 🚀
